It all depends on your deffinition of "easy."

350z seats will phisically fit, but custom rails will need to be fabricated to mount them to the car. If you can weld, and are handy with tools, it can be done with patience and time.

Another thing to take into concideration is safety. O.E.M. seats and rails are built to specific standards to meet safety requirements. Changing/replacing these parts will affect that.

Some other options to look into are having the seats re-apholstered(sp?) in leather, or going with aftermarket seats. I have Sparco seats that I would trust to be equal to, if not supperior to O.E.M. seats. This option may be out of your price range though.

In the end it all depends on what you are looking for in the seats and how much you want to spend. I would reccomend getting the seats re-covered in your case.

sci2000tec, would getting the 95-98 240sx seats be a good idea? would it be a perfect fitment or do i gotta modify the rails and would it be difficult?

With enough time, any seat can be put in the vert. Z33 seats would definitely require some hefty work, however. You have to weigh your options here. If you can fab the rails for a Z33 seat yourself, go for it! If not, see how much it would cost to have someone else do it versus buying S14 seats and reupholstering them. Or tracking down stock convertible leather seats in good condition.

S14 (95-98) 240SX seats bolt right up to our verts, and are quite a nice upgrade!

Z33 seats have been done before (you can search on here, zilvia, google, etc) - there's a couple different write ups. You don't need to completely rebuild the seat rails, but if you are not comfortable with modifying & rewelding the brackets, I wouldn't suggest it.

S14 seats are your best bet - you can buy cloth ones & get them reupholstered; there are also stock s14 leather ones, but those are usually a little beat & overpriced.

If you are feeling really baller (and can let go of the leather part), you can get really nice S15 seats which bolt up to the vert also.

I completely agree with this. I find it interesting that this is hardly (if ever) brought up when people suggest relocating the seat belts w/ the coupe/hatch door conversion.

Z33 are a lot of work (I have them, but didn't do the work, bought from a friend that sold his). Would just get S13/S14 leather OEM seats or S15 are really good.

For reference:

I was thinking of Acura rsx types s leather seats before I got my recaros, they are leather and are fairly cheap, and look pretty good. I used to own an rsx so I know these seats are comfortable. They would need custom rails though.
