I thought everyone out there should be aware of this just in case you go out this weekend and purchase yourself a Roadster.
Nissan dealerships are finding out slowly that the rear spoiler for the hardtop does not fit the Roadster. We found out the hard way. Nissan is in the process of fixing it.
Don't look poorly on Nissan because of this error. Let's just say everyone was a little excited. Love or hate the 350Z, you've got to admit, it was very well designed. When I was still selling cars and sometimes still I hear people bring up the domestic sports cars in comparison with the Z. Nissan, obviously, is not domestic so why would you want to put the Z in the same category? Personally, I think the Z and the G35 Coupe are the best new sports cars on the road. The convertible Z is refreshing and believe it or not, worth it. Considering that only 15% of the Z's in production will be convertibles, it makes them a sweet deal. Cars just aren't considered collectibles anymore. 57 Chevy's and mint condition Mustangs don't draw a huge gathering anymore. And that bandwagon gets crowded easily with the Enterprise-sized SUV's that are crowding the streets and the people that wear their Lexuses and Mercedes like a neon sign saying, "Hey! Look at me! I like to pay too much for everything!" All that's left are we intelligent, loyal followers of an economical yet completely satisfying driving experience. We that can point out an old Datsun and make a educated guess at the mileage. We that sit at home and not have to worry about having some big sweaty tow truck driver named Jimmy Joe or T-Boy comment on how "purty" our wife is because our overpriced gas guzzler decided it would spit out a timing chain. We are the future....
Sorry, too much coffee.
Hey, check out the tag in the trunk of the Z.
