I would like to ask any owners of 350z roadster to check inside their car with the top up to see if the "plastic" trim of the top fits flush with the rear surface of the car. I noticed that in mine the top does not fit flush but instead there is a gap of about an inch (as shown in the photo). Is this normal or typical?

There should be no gap. My top fabric rest right on the rear window.....there's velcro going across the top fabric.

Maybe some of the top fabric is caught under neath.....it should be covering the cross bar.

If you know what I mean!

Hi,
There was never any question that a convertible version would follow. There might not have been a drop-top in the original Z-car incarnation, but in this market today, a coupe and convertible have become inseparable twins. Although it was some months before the company officially started talking about it, you don't engineer a superb two-seater sports car without giving those who want it, the full wind in the hair experience.
