Hi All,

I tried to search for this but didn't really find anyone ever attempting or looking at this. Is it possible for 350z rear calipers to fit onto the 240sx? (with 350z rear rotors obviously). The design from what i understand is very similar to the z32 (with the drum ebrake).

cheers for input.. i have stock 350z front (non-brembo) and am trying to get some more rear brake bias.

cheersMarko

You could save yourself a ton of cash by installing a brake proportioning valve after the distribution block.

I'm pretty sure that this won't help me add more brake bias to the back because the rear break line valve goes out of the brake master cylinder, so with that i could possibly reduce rear brake pressure but that's it. Correct me if i'm wrong though. My car is a non-abs

<edit: Worthless post><edit: No longer worthless> After doing some extensive research on this, I have answers. If you only upgrade the front brakes to Z32 and retain the S14 rear brakes for ease of e-brake use, it is best to swap to the Z32 master cylinder. The reason being that the brake bias for the Z32 is more rear oriented than the S14 after the pressure rises to a "split point".

To further reduce the front bias, either get an ABS Z32 master cylinder or plug one of the front ports on the master cylinder so one line comes out of it. Then, run a line to a proportioning valve with two outlets. I am running a line lock, so the line lock I'm looking at has two outlet ports to split to the two front brake lines.

Hope this helps. The only hurdle now is to bend new brake lines and find inverted flare fittings and 3/16" tube nuts to connect all that BS.
