Does anyone have a problem with their power windows.. My driver side was going up then when it reached the top, it would go a quarter of the way down. Now my driver side isn't working at all, and i have to hit where the motor is to get it to do anything.. And my passenger window just started doing it.. wtf, is there a recall...

What year us your z33? When I bought my '03 in Sept 07 I drove home went to roll up the windows and same deal wouldn't go up or come down. Called the dealer the next day they agreed to fix the issue in good faith. Apparently there was some known issues with the motors and they had both replaced at the Nissan Dealership to the tune of $700. In the interim try holding the switch up or down while shutting the door- apparently it jars some sensor reset. Unfortunately I'm not aware of a recall

WOW.... mine is doing the exact same thing! To get it to go up all the way i have to leave the door open when closing the window! I haven't got around to taking it apart because the only time i remember is when i get to my destination after getting the car out and driving it.... I'm interested to know what the deal is with that too. If not i'll look into fixing it real soon. (lazy and car never see's rain in the garage!)

Mines an 04' with just below 48k miles.

They have to have a recall on this soon!! because everyone i know with a 350z has this problem.. Its gay that i would have to pay 500 out of my pocket, because of a **** motor they put in..

Wow, I can't believe this topic is being posted AGAIN!! As I've posted before, and has worked for many...try this before forking out the cash for a fix:

1. Turn your car key to the ON position and press and hold the button to move your window all the way down and when it reaches the bottom hold for 2-3 seconds. Then press up and hold it as it goes up and then when it seals hold it for 5-6 seconds.

If that does not work 2. Remove your door trim panel and where the motor is located there should be a small rubber nipple/button poking out. Roll your window all the way down and hold the button for 3-5 secs. Then roll your window all the way up and while holding the Window up button press and hold the nipple/button for 3-5 seconds. Hopefully this works because both these techniques have worked when I have fixed Altimas, Maximas, 350Z'z, Versa's and Sentra's and Murano's

you also have to hold the door switch in in the up position so it reconizes when the door is open or closed. 350's have this problem constantly.

OOOFFF that would be a massive recall.

+10 for cuff coming out the woodwork and smackin down, good job, I remember when they posted that awhile back. From now on it will Professor Cuff. Way to go.

Yeah well either way you look at it a bulletin or a recall it seems like it is still costing people money to fix. So I guess they could call it an enema and we would still have to all pay to fix it.

Thanks BlackSmoke, but I can't take the credit...however this fix did work when my Z was acting up, and also my wife's Altima. Just passing on some helpful info. Can't remember where I got the info, but I cut and copied for my book of quick Z fixes...sometimes you CAN do it yourself.
