Post

Hi everyone,

I'm new here , mostly spending time reading, rather than asking questions .... I've been thinking of what to do with my stock s13 pedals...

The story begins from an auto to manual transmission swap with a ca18det engine (btw, the swap was successful).

I ordered an s13 clutch pedal and had it installed, but had to cut up the auto brake pedal in order to get the clutch pedal fit...now the brake pedal doesn't look pretty.

After searching @ ebay I came across (1) a used s13 brake pedal, (2) oem 300zx (fits most nissans, including s13) rubber clutch and brake covers), (3) used 350z pedals set - brake, clutch, accelerator, dead pedals), (4) 350z pedal covers.

The most attractive for me is the #3 choice...therefor my question is does anyone know whether the 350z pedals fit into s13? any modifications necessary?

I understand that my idea might sound stupid, but I hope I won't receive any sarcastic replies (such as regarding the 350z console to 240sx console conversion)...

Hoping for a adequate answer

Regards,

- Tim

P.S. I've seen a picture of such conversion somewhere, but can't find it...

P.P.S. I prefer to stick with nissan parts rather than momo, sparco, etc...

Putting 350z pedal set in might be mega awesome but almost pointless in most respects.

I want the whole pedal set swapped...

the s13 manual brake pedal is about 74usd while the 350z pedals set is 99usd. and the 350z's just look nicer. my goal is to get nice pedals, that's the only point i see =)

Why do you want that? I doubt that they will fit.

I'm not saying you couldn't get it working but I'd imagine you would be mounting 350 BMC and CMC if you were going to swap out pedals. Which would make sense to me, but more so if you were a VQ swap and big brakes.

I tell people doing 5spd swaps always to cut the brake shorter rather than bleeding brakes to replace it.

I just think they'll look nice. I have no clue whether will the fit or not... - that's what I wanna found out

If they'll not fit - than what's a good solution with the stock pedals?

so you can pay 70+ for a pedal that goes there or 99+ for a set that most likely will require welding or cutting of some sort.

I say if you HAVE to replace it do it with an S13 pedal. Which I almost guarantee you can get cheaper than $70.

If your pedal works, leave it. But if you feel like doing the work then just go to someone parting out a 200sx and take the pedal. Probably get one for 10-20euros. I saw many broken down 200sx's in europe.

so not vienna? You live in xUSSR?

Um I think if you goto the classified and find someone parting out, they might just charge shipping(if they are cool), If I had an extra, i would.

Oh I would remove the cover. Then cut it smaller and better and put it back on.

Thats not too bad but your right it looks s***ty.

If I happen to get a hold of one this month I send it to you and you just pay shipping.

Dude.... Do you own another tool other then the Axe you took to that pedal?

Take out the brake pedal, go to the parts store and get a pedal rubber. Cut your pedal in the shape of the pedal rubber, just a little smaller, and put it on......
