Ultimately, we could find the dimensions of the pinion and the main gear, then produce our own spline dividens to make whatever ratio we wanted. BUT I think that takes a little bit of money.....

unless we marketed a bolt in application to the gen pop.

hmmmmmm

But per Paul Sinclair at Nissan Motorsports, (whom I am on the phone with right this moment).

No it will not fit, the 4.11 ratio, BUT Nissan makes a 4.36 that Nissan puts in the new model Frontiers, that fits in the 350z housing. The part number is 38100-0C860 that retails for 539, but I can get the discount of course.
this is a good find.. but not exactly the alternative route I was trying to take=/

how's fast treating you?

If you can find me the 4.36 Frontiers final gear (condition: new), I will pay $500 for it and install it. If it works I'll let you know. If not, I'll switch back to the OEM gears.

the 4.36 (38100-0C860)gears are not a direct swap into the 350Z, substantial custom work is involved in making them fit. I know first hand

This is going into my car ^. I expect it done soon, and we'll install sometime in the fall whenever I get some time.

The gears from a Z32, etc also will not fit directly, as there are quite a number of differences, from the ring gear bolts, to pinion diameter, etc etc.

The Z is a bit of an oddball
