I was told that if I wanted to install the Tanabe Super Medallion exhaust system for the 350Z on to my 05 G35 coupe I would need an extension pipe for the mid-pipe. I found a 8 inch extension pipe that bolts on after the Y pipe on Ebay and I was wondering if anybody has installed a Z exhaust on their G35 and how you went about doing so. I'd appreciate any help with this matter.

I haven't done an exhaust yet. I do know that an extension pipe would be necessary, but I'm not sure exactly how long it would need to be.

The actually installation shouldn't be that difficult though, even with installing an extension.

extension pipes are necessary-i have installed many g sedan and coupe systems-stillen-tanabe-and others-the extension is included in kits for the g but are not in kits labeled for the z in my experience
