i have a 2005 Altima SE-R 6spd.. i really like the exhaust note it comes with stock, similar, but not as sporty as the 350... is there a way to make it sound more like the 350? maybe by removing a catalyc converter or resonator?? or do i have to make a more expensive mod?? any help on this topic is appreciated.. thanks!

I have an '05 Altima SER and I went to remove my "resonator" a while back and there actually isn't a resonator on the SERs, it's a straight-through pipe.

If you want to make your exhaust sound a little louder I would buy an intake. I did the "Butterfly Removal" process (http://forums.altimas.org/zerothread?id=429729) which made my exhaust a little louder (and so did the intake, the intake made it the loudest).

Found this post I did a while back, might help if you're looking for an intake:

i have a Fujita CAI, it does work and sound great! i bought it used from a friend that had it on a 3.5SE auto... he also has headers and exhaust on it... he will probably sell it soon so i bought the CAI from him... before that i was stock and he beat me easy on 1/4mile and 1/8mile... now he still has headers but no CAI and i do... and now i win haha.... i will probably buy the headers from him as soon as he decides to sell the car o not. anyway... the exhaust doesn´t sound much diferent, since the CAI makes its roar at high revs.. i would like the 350exhaust note it has on low revs...very deep but not ricey haha.. is this possible?

To get that sound you'd basically need the entire exhaust system after the engine. I mean exhaust manifolds, cats, mufflers. The main sound is coming from he manifolds/cats though.

I don't have a SE-R but I have an SE and I just deleted my Muffler's and put a 3.5 inch tip on the end but I love the sound and it is really quiet inside the car. But I DO have a resonator so not sure if yours will sound like mine.

the SE-R´s exhaust is a little louder than the SE, maybe i remove the mufflers it will sound better without being annoying... im not quite sure about the whole setup of my exhaust and do not know if i have resonators....
