Still getting used this 04 Z. Fine car. Runs great checked out by techs ok. However accelerating from a stop (gradually)
getting up to 45-50 (in 45 zone) holding it constant for a bit, when I back off slightly I feel a 1/2 second pause.
It feels like the engine is faulting. It never continues, never misfires, nothing else out of the ordinary. ??
When I first felt this I thought...oh, just a little bump in the road. But now while driving I anticipate it happening,
I'm looking for another cause. Fuel pump pause? Dunno ? My passengers never feel it as I do. ?? Agent Man.

Have you tried scanning for any fault codes yet?

Since the Z is a drive by wire car it sounds like there is some lag between the pedal play and the input to the ecu. Does it always do it or just occasionally? If it's only occasionally I'd start keeping track (if you haven't already ) of driving conditions to narrow the field down.

Auto or manual transmission?

Welcome to NICO! :badger

Busy Badger: It seems to pause only occasionally. It's an automatic....so I did have a tech lower the otherwise
excellent tran fluid and add some Lucas transmission lube. (Used it before in other cars successfully) No change. It doesn't do
it every time the circumstances are the same...so far I don't worry about it, just have this urge to locate, diagnose,
and fix. Thanks,
