I would say do the 300zx turbo LSD diff. Its geared lower so you will get higher top speed.

Though you need alot of power to move it fast as I hear its lower gearing makes the car feel sluggish on a stock KA or any engine with lower power out put.

While on this subject what is the 350Z ratio. And what rear is it, R###? I have a Q45 rear in my S13, but I was thinking about the 350Z

I don't remember where I read it... but IIRC the 350Z diff is a R200 just like the 240's and I believe someone has swapped one into an s chassis successfully. I don't recall the ratio of that diff though.

Yea I am also interested in this.Yes 350s (from what I read on the NICO 350 forum) uses a r180 as well as a r200. I wouldnt know which 350z uses the r180 and which 350z runs the r200 but I know the R200 has a 3.3 final.

I plan on swaping my KA from my 240 and dropping a 2jz. Instead of buying a rare (or atleast getting rare) r154 trans then buying a $300 bell housing to it can mate to a JZ block I would rather spend the big bucks and drop the V160 trans.

Problem is the Supras that run the V160s run a final drive of 3.13 (or something close to that) and my 240 has a 4.06 final. If I used the final from the 240sx it would render 1st gear useless. So with the 3.3 final from the 350 in the 240 would mean I could use the V160 trans.

Couldnt you just use the 350 O-ring and diff spline (not sure of its technical name) and put them on a S15 HLSD diff? Or does this set up mean the WHOLE 350 pumpkin?

Bad info really bad info. The R180 hasn't been used in a VERY long time. I found this info posted in another thread.

I'm watching and learning here, keep it up. I'm looking for a good junk yard rear diff upgrade here. Looking to do a V8 swap as well.

327.... 2 bolt main, use a SBC 400 4 bolt man you will be happier, same outside size and 6.6 liters as to 5.3.

How much... havent dynoed but its 405 stock at the crank with mild mods now, at the wheel I dunno 330 or so 430 at the crank.

Im on the Q45 diff with a Cusco 1.5 way. Its a R200 and some guys are putting upwards of 900-1000 horse on them
