That's an awesome write-up! Super-detailed with great pics, and I love the parts that tell me when I can take a break.

I'm not quite as flamboyant as DJ is, so if I keep my Z and do an update/refurb I'll go with a different color but I'll certainly be picking a set of these up.

I'm not Flamboyant, my wife is and its her car. There is method to her madness. The red matches the exterior color and the gray suede matches the headliner.

I can say that the new seat covers seem to have added to the side bolsters. That, along with the suede, plants you firmly in the seat. While I did not expect a performance improvement, it is a welcome addition.

If I recall, wasn't there some connection to a cherished classic Mustang in this story as well?

There's a reason why serious performance cars use cloth or suede in the seat centers - it's a definite improvement.
