I don't know what you mean by adjustments.... Hard to shift usually involves the synchros in the transmission.If it's ever hard to shift, you need to double clutch and try the gear again but you should never force the gear into place...that will damage the transmission. Lot of guys tend to "grip it and rip it" when they shift... but really shifting should be effortless and only require a minimal flick of the wrist. Modern synchros are pretty good, but proper shift technique will is always good. If it's an isolated incident or if double clutching works to resolve it I wouldn't worry about it, but if it's a consistent problem I'd take it back to the dealer.
