350Z cd player

Hey I just bought a new 350z cd player on ebay.I'm planning on installing it in my s14.I was just wondering where I could get the stock wiring harness that plugs into the back of the unit.I got a pretty good deal,$40 shipped. The reason I got it was because it's a double din. I know I could probably get the plug from the dealer,but I don't want to pay 9 billion dollars for it.

Try metra. They carry plugs for factory source units.

Good luck with that install, besides the wires, you will have your work cut out for you getting it to fit. It is a nice unit. 6cd in dash. cool. If it is the Bose piece you will need a line out converter and that will require you to run a separate amp. I am unsure of its compatibility with the factory amplified 240 system. Let us know what you find out!

You think it will be a hard job? It's the base model,non bose unit.its a double din,so it should go right in the hole. My s14 just has the standard 4 speaker system,so do I have a seperate amp somewhere? I thought the speakers were just run off the factory headunit? It's supposed to be delivered today,so I'll let you guys know about the fit.

UPDATE.

It's a direct plug and play.You only need to trim a few mm's of the surrounding trim to get it to fit.

ah, no bose... that makes it a lot easier. it should be direct plug in like phat said.

yeah only the SE model S14 have the amps in the trunk, just like the g20s

hmmm.... my base model s14 has the 6speaker setup with the twin amps in the rear deck, everday I find something that the se or 96+ should have lol.
