Ok I doubt that I am the first person to think of this but how feasible would it be to put Nissan 350Z brakes on a 240SX. They are bigger and better than even the Z32 brakes and it would be insane if u could get the Brembos on a 240. It would be like the Gran Turismo brake kit for thousands less. I know that anything is possible with enough time and money but how feasible is this? They are already starting to appear in junkyards so............

Are you referring to the brakes on the Z33 track model? If so, they're the same brakes as on the R34 GTR skyline, and they're not much of an upgrade from normal Z32 brakes. They are in no way a comparison to the brembo Gran Turismo brake setup.

Z32's are more than enough for the majority of drivers out there. If you feel you need larger, contact SSB, Baer, Fastbrakes, or any of the many other companies out there that do custom setups where you can get a setup on par with the Gran Turismo (6 pot, 15" rotors) for half the price.

Msaskin if the 350Z brake is the same as an R34 GTR it should be bigger than the 300zx brakes, alittle smaller than the brembo GT 4pot.

Isn't it Brakes setup from 300z, and R34 GTR are similar to the Silvia so the 350z=R34 Brakes then it will fit.

MN31323 if u find a good price on a used 350z Brembo brakes and I'm right on the R34 brakes being intercahngable then go for it. COST of upgrading brakes are:300zx around $650+STop TECH 4pot =$2000+Brembo GT 4pot =$3500+

If u that brake fall between the 300zx and stop tech prices then go for it. I'm just giving u an idea here but the decision is yours .:)

I just know the 350z track model are the same brakes as the R34 GTR...or at least they are the same brake pad application according to the part numbers.

300zx brakes can be done for under $400. I paid $400 total for slotted rotors drilled for 4 lugs, rebuilt calipers, hawk HP+ pads, and stainless lines. I could have saved $40 or so by getting my lines from splparts instead of heavy throttle too.

The stoptech and brembo are overpriced, end of story.

Check out the fastbrakes upgrades at jgycustoms...they price is right, but as I mentioned, there really is no need for more than Z32 brakes. between my Z32 setup and good pads (Hawk HP+) and real sticky tires, I never find myself at a loss for brakes, as I just proved out at willow springs this past weekend.

What will fit like stock...the Z33 brakes? I'm not really sure, depends on if they're anywhere near bolt-on or not.

The Z32 brakes fit like stock with the exception of having to worry about wheel clearance :)

OK, anyway about that fastbrakes from willwood I heard that those calipers are no good, they dont last that long. What i means that they fell apart like bolt rust the pistons on the caliper they leak that what happened to my friend WRX brake upgrade, did they do something about it already. that happened like a years ago, my friend bought the brake for the WRX when WRX barely came out i think year 2000. So I thought u have to know. Anyway that was a WRX i dunno about this one.

Are you kidding me? Wilwood makes probably some of the best brake calipers out there. Most of the SCCA guys I race with who have upgraded their brakes are running wilwood calipers (a few race-prepped hondas, some mustangs, a few 3000gt's)

No, the track model brembo brakes. and brembo gt's are only four pots and 13.1" for the 300ZX so six pots and 15" rotors my ***. Beyond this the brembos on the Z33 track edition have four piston brembo brake calipers in the front and two piston brembo brake calipers in the rear. The discs measure 12.8" in front, 12.7" in back and are all vented. This means that i lose .3" as compared to the brembo gt's which are a front only upgrade. So IF i can find a track package Z33 in a junkyard and get the brakes for a reasonable price, HOW HARD WOULD IT BE TO MAKE IT WORK? also non- track edition brakes are single piston sliding calipers at both ends and have 11.7" and 10.5" vented discs (all brake specs from Oct. 2002 edition of SCC). So those are about (if i remember correctly) as big as Z32 brakes. The question is would it work remembering that the Z33 has 5x114.3mm bolt pattern.

And silviapower, if I have the money, personally, anything clamping my rotors will say Alcon.

The bolt pattern has nothing to do with whether the calipers fit, bolt patterns effects whether the rotor fits, which is irrelevent since you just have the rotors re-drilled for 4-lug like I do with my z32 brakes.

As for whether or not they bolt up...you're going to have to find a pair and try bolting them in place of your stock ones. I'm going to hazard a guess and say they won't, but it wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong :)

I know that the bolt pattern doesn't matter as far as mounting the calipers goes, however i was wondering if anyone knew if the caliper mounting brackets matched up or if anyone has/is making one?

If the Z33 track edition Brembo brakes bolt-in directly to a Z32/300zx then there should be no problem bolting it on a s13/s14 for the front calipers only. Not the rear ones.

The question u need to ask is:Is the Z33 track edition brakes fits the Z32 with no modification, no need for a bracket like the BremboGT and others?

if you're gonna spend that much for alcon, might as well look into the endless 6 pot calipers.

i doubt iff the z33 calipers would bolt on without some kind of mod to the bracket or custom bracket.. but i could be wrong too
