I got a set of 300ZX brake calipers , it's the 30mm one , I was wondering if the Q35 or the Z Brake rotor would fit , I am talking about the diameter of the rotor (how thick is it ) , and I want to know how big is it? is it 13 inches? I Will have a custom make mount for the caliper and redrill the rotor , I am going to put it on to the Spec V Rims , u know how big of the rotor with the Caliper I can put on there? thank you

I just want something like 12inches to 13 inches diatmeter of the rotor and 30mm thickness I believe it works on my brake caliper? if the brake calipere that I mesured at 31mm , is it meant that I can get a 30mm rotor or I should get somethign slightly smaller? beside custom rotor, is there any other car that fits my requirment (Same off set as my 240)? 12 to 13 inches , 30mm thickness ? I can redrill it if it's 5 bolts ... I would like the link for this kidn of informatin. thanx

the 300zx 30 mm rotor is 280mm in diameter or 11.02 inches.

anything larger is aftermarket.

there are no nissan rotors that i know of that will fit and be larger than 11 inches.

also, with the stock rotors, you will not need a caliper spacer or anything. they should bolt right on. you need a banjo spacer or new brake lines also.

I think its gonna be tough to find a rotor larger than 11" that fits the stock Z32 caliper. Most the kits Ive seen that use larger rotors also come with new (thicker??) calipers. Like IvoryJ30 said, it would definitely be an aftermarket part. I'm sure there are plenty of 13" aftermarket rotors available, but I dont know how thick they are. Check out Mustang or Camaro/Vette kits.If you can find some 30mm rotors and you make custom mounts for the calipers, I dont see why it wouldnt work. But it might be hard to fit the Z32 calipers and 13" rotors under 17" Spec V wheels.

I dont know about the thickness of those rotors. I was trying to make the point that even if they have stock 30mm rotors, its hard to say how thick the aftermarket 13" rotors would be since the bigger rotors are usually designed to work with aftermarket calipers (which may or may not be designed for 30mm rotors).

First off, subaru uses a 5x100 lug pattern, so stop looking at them. :)

Second, I'm having trouble understanding what you're asking exactly...if you just want a larger rotor to use with your z brakes, there are a multitude of kits available.

Here's a couple:http://store.yahoo.com/ginnmot....htmlh ... brakes.php

Also, a company in the UK called Apex Performance makes a kit.

If you'd rather do it on your own, check out this guys page:http://www.ashleypowers.com/Im...x.htmHe's got the specs for the adapter plates, but the pic seems to be missing. I'm sure you can email him about which rotor he used and what the plate specs are.

EDit: He used cobra rotors and hubcentric rings.

I don't know. You'd have to email him or...*gulp*...visit some ford sites.:help

It would also be helpful if you can get the dimensions for the bracket he constructed.

The 350 Z Brembo rotors are right around 30 mm in thickness. I'd probably use the Brembo Calipers with them though. The rotor offset may not be the same. And the Z32 pads may not have as much swept area either.

You might consider using the SE-R Spec V Brembos(2004). I think they are about 12 inches in diameter. Not sure of the thickness, but I'd imagine they are big enough to handle a 240sx with ease. Not certain about fitment, but chances are it'll probably work with little to no modification. It might be a little cheaper than the Z33 Brembos. But if not, might as well use the Z33 brakes altogether.

The '04 Maxima rotors are 30mm just like the Z32, and they are around 12.6" in diameter.

Im so lucky, i was just about to ask this question.. and it looks like if ound my answer.. The SE-R Spec V rotors are just as thick as th 350z and just as big.. I thought of this idea the other night when i was at an el cajon dealership and the salesman had 350z calipurs on his sentra, and this guy doesnt really know much but is the spec v 4 lug bolt pattern the same as a 240?? and is the 350z calipurs like the 300zx ones where you gotta get those custom breaklines ? it would sound like a cheap and great break swap.. cuz i think he said he got the calipurs for like a couple houndered (under 3 but i dont remember, the brimbo 350z calipurs) and rotors were pritty cheap, and the pads them selfs were 50bucks.. so anyone know where i can get those parts /?

I heard otherwise...there was a thread about those brakes a while ago and I'm pretty sure people found out they were much thinner (like low 20's). Could be wrong though.

I've seen those Spec V Brembo brakes, but their rotor is only so big because of the rims. I would just stick with Z calipers and custom rotor I need some help thou. I Am looking for some 12.7 inches to 13" rotors, I know one that's from Cobra. but I dont know the Depth of the rotor would clear my 03 Spec V rims, that's a problem? so anyone happen to know , I can get some 30mm thick X 12.7" to 13" Rotor and the depth is high enought ( i think the depth of the (basically the actual Disc size 30mm+ the rotor Hat "X" ) rotor) least 47mm-52mm . thanx
