Heya everyone! I am currently in the market for a 350z and looking for either a 2004 model or a 2006. What year do y'all believe to be the best? I've heard that 04 for performance is better and that 2006 models tend to burn more oil. Can't completely make up my mind yet.

Why not an 05? You wouldn't have to worry about the oil burning problem and it has the upgraded transmission that they put in in 04.5.

I would go with the 06. It has the LED taillights plus the better looking headlights. It also has the 306hp engine opposed to the 287hp engine.

I also would suggest the 2006.

The 06 also has a nicer interior. More power and a better looking car, I would definitely go with the 2006 over a 2004. Sounds like you've already heard about its oil problems too, so at least you'll know a little about something like that whenever you go looking for them.

If you could I would say go for the 2007. Even faster motor and still all of the same great look as a 2006.

Think about a late model 06? The later models should have fixed that elusive oil burning issue everyone talks about. I've got a late model 06 and couldn't be happier.... Unless that b**** was turbo'd

P.S No oil burning issues to date.
