I have a red 2003 350 Z Touring that was converted into a Roadster by Newport Conversions in Placentia, CA when it was new. It has a manual top that follows the original roof lines of the hardtop.

I would like to know if there are any others, or if this is a one-of-a-kind.

Thanks

Sounds interesting and I am curious as to more information concerning what the conversion company did. I do agree that pictures are needed to see what it looks like.

Use an online photo hosting site and link them here.

There is a "how to" in the FAQ listed at the top of this page (menu) that might help

Hey do you think you could find the wheight of that thing? Im curious if its lighter than a reg convertible... Maybe you could have a hardtop like the 4s has, u know the one piece reinforced steel type deal so it makes it almost identical to the hard top version? that would be amazingly cool!!! I recomend photo bucket btw.

OK, I learned how to load photos to Shutterfly. Here is the link. If anyone wants to see other views, I'd be happy to try to add them.

VERY interesting conversion. I bet you get a few double-takes.

I would suggest calling the company to ask if they did many. Would be very interesting to find out.

Kind of like Strahman did with the Z32's making verts before they were mass produced. Cool unique car you've got there!

starman also did Z31 convertibles, even better there was a company back in the late 80's that made a T-top kit for conversion for the S30, and mitsubishi neven made a convertible eclipse, they had a seperate company convert regular cars into the "spider"

I bought the car about a year and a half ago. Now that summer is over in Colorado, I just bought a G35 Coupe and I am thinking of selling it so I decided to try to get more info in order to answer questions about the car.

I have have tried to get the info from Newport but I have been unsucessful. (They have a very interesting website.) My hope is that someone in NICO is familiar with Newport's cars.
