Hey all,

2011 m56s, recently got the engine fixed and reassembled and retimed from a HPFP issue a few years ago (been sitting the in the garage waiting), and the car runs smoothly sometimes but sometimes in the middle of the of the ride it gets stuck in limp mode with no code for a long while until I randomly get a p0420 p0430 code indicating bad cats. My question is; could the bad cats be the reason for this limp mode[/u]? I read the other thread about a car with a similar problem where the engine was in limp mode with no codes and the problem was the vvt solenoids where I replaced the passenger side ones just to be sure and if the cats wouldn't cause this limp mode I will go ahead the change out the drivers side.
Thanks!

Cat codes don't cause any limp, but a blocked cat will definitely limit your RPM.
