Didn't you read up on all MASSIVE write ups and class action law suit petitions to be filed against Nissan for their tire problem. The noise, referred to as "Tire Roar" was caused by a s***ty suspension/camber design that was stock on all 2003-2004 and on many 2005 350zs. Basically it caused the tires to "feather" or "cup" and wore through the tread at astounding rates. Some people were on their 3rd set of Bridgestone Potenza tires at only 18k miles. Nissan admitting to the design flaw being real but instead of recalling their cars they just kept supplying buyers who complained enough with another set of tires. No matter how many times the dealership claimed that their "new alignment" fixed the problem, it was almost always a load of crap. This was the dominate reason that turned me off of buying an 03-05 350z but apparently some people figured out different ways to resolve the issue.
One of the ways was buying (if my memory is correct) adjustable control arms to fix the issue. Another person found that the howling on his specific 350z was limited only to the Bridgestone Potenza tires that were originally put on the car. Another found success by taking his car to a reputable alignment shop and just asking them to ignore the manufacturers camber specifications and instead adjust it to what they felt was the optimum angle. Me personally, I found that most people fixed the issue buy purchasing adjustable control arms, 350evo if I recall, and I find that this would be the only real way to fix the issue once and for all. If you want me to track down all my sources and site this stuff I will. Let me know but if you type in 2003 nissan 350z tire feathering into google you'll find exactly what I'm talking about
