350 rear driver replacement

So, while cleaning my interior with Jethro Tull rockin on the (CD PLAYER), yeah I know, hold the dinosaur comment please, I noticed the right driver was dead, tried to gently pop the grill without damaging the surrounding vinyl and noticed the grill to be very well attached. Of course went to utube for some advice, I nearly stroked when I learned that to upgrade the speaks you must completely gut the interior of the car, seats, C console, side panels and then the main rear panel WTF, you have got to be sh*tin me! No way will I battle old dried out panels and molded in plugs. A 10 minute simple swap suddenly becomes a full day of labor and most likely damage to vinyl. So I see on a post that even if you get the grills out (of course you will break off the two mounting plugs and be forced to glue the grills in after the swap). The engineers missed on the placement of the drivers as compared to the grill by a total of 1 1/2" meaning the speaks are mounted lower than the grill making it impossible to remove the two bottom speaker screws. Not a problem if you have a hot knife vinyl cutter for your high power soldering gun or a Dremel tool with a nice cut off wheel. The flange for the grill is 3/4" and will be forgiving of any butchering you will do to access the two screws and cut out enough of the grill flange to accomplish the swap. New set of Bose a little Paneling adhesive on the grills (off course use your painters blue tape to hold grills until glue is set) Pop in your favorite Def Lep CD, pop a beer and hit the road! DO NOT RIP YOUR CAR APART, THIS WAS WAY TO EASY AND QUICK.
