Exactly how high is "high"? The pressure will always be higher on a cold engine. Once the engine (and oil) warm up to standard operating temperature the pressure will drop as the oil thins out a bit.

For the second part, I'm guessing autocorrect is screwing with you and you meant to say that the pressure rises with the rpms and not rims. This is normal, asbthe rpms rise and the engine works harder there will more naturally be more pressure. I'm on my tablet right now, when I get to an actual computer I'll post up the oil pressure ranges for the Z from the factory service manual.

Last...transmission swap in the Z is too cost-prohibitive to perform because of all the changes in the ecm and wiring. Better off selling and re-buying.

couple people have swapped over need a big hammer or new trans tunnel, clutch pedal assembly, master and slave cylinders with lines, center section for the interior, transmission, clutch, flywheel, transmission mount and cross member, new driveshaft and thats if you dont run any of the proper wiring and have a stand alone so you dont get any funky codes. if your running stock ecu you need auto bcm or ecu cant remember off the top of my head and associated sensors theres a couple on transmission and two on clutch pedal. overall not worth it unless you are making over 550 whp where the built auto slips. the people who are doing it are spending close to what you could buy a 6mt car for to have a shop do it and only do it because they already have alot of work done to their cars and it just cant hold the power anymore and need the 6mt, alot of them are also moving to GM transmissions, 700r4, 4l65e, 4l80e,th350, th400
