Im just looking up info on this, I figured I would start here
I know its possible, been done previouslyI was wondering on if anyone knew what it would take to put a 350 chevy engine into a 240sx, maybe just some ruff estimates on how much money it would cost
or if anyone knows a website or soemthing like that

ok if you're looking for just a basic stock setup then probably...engine/auto transmission which you could normally get for around 500-2000 bucks depending on where you live. B&M shift kit--100 bucks
driveshaft could be another 100-200 bucks.
motor mounts could be around 250 bucks depending. I bet you could fabricate some from like grannysspeedshop.com that are made for an RX-7.
you'll need some welding skills and a TIG, because there's some custom work involved.
wiring harness kit/ECU and a lot of wiring skill, because it'll be a headache, but probably 250-500 bucks.
exhaust components--250-1000 depending on your setup.
You won't get much traction with the stock R200, so you'll need new rearend most likely. 250-1500 bucks
Beefier power steering pump--200 bucks(you could just put a bunch of fluid in the rack and lines, and plug all the wholes. you don't really need PS, but you DO need fluid.)
If you have skills and know a lot of people, then I would say you could do this for around 1500-2000. But it could be upwards of 10,000 if you start to get carried away, or even more. Go out and get to know some of the local V8 RX-7 guys, because they know more about this subject and are in basically the same situation.
