Well After having my parents bought me my 1999 civic si wreched from indiana for 6,000 it sat for 6 months. After that they said they found a guy to fix it. YAY bout time I had already given up working since i needed no money till i got my car running, they fixed the car without telling me how much it cost. We got it all fixed and its all pretty blah blah. Go to pay off the loan and they say we'll get you the title dont worry about it. Come back for the title since we have to get tag's. "sorry you never gave it to us" long story short I dont have my car and i am buring for a project. TA DA here I am. I am going back to work (my a** off) for my 240 hatch and my engine.(now on to the important part)

I am buying my motor first (from Daunt) What is a good *cheap* setup to get 250ish hp (was 350-400hp so dont get on the wierd replies :P).s13 redtop 205 hp

What should the setup be (this includes install kits if it is needed ect.) Please if you would put prices ect. I would like to turn this into a faq. Also do a step by step install and everything.

In other words I want to see a setup that is nice streetable.I talking exhaust, intercooler, pipping, ect whatever!

You're looking at probably 8000-9000 dollars or a bit more to build it to 320-35 rwhp reliably, including the engine...

Cheapest way I see it is as follows

555cc injectorsT3/T4 Hybrid Manual Boost ControllerGreddy V Spec FMIC190Lph Fuel Pump300Z Fuel FilterCustom 3" Exhaust with OBX MufflerCustom 3" DownpipeIntake w/ Custom Cold Air RamClutchMotor

In no way would it be very predictable or reliable but at around 18-20 psi it should make 350 flywheel.

Z32 Fuel PumpZ32 MAF sensorJWT ECU upgradeFMIC with pipingA'pexi AVC-R (or any boost controller)upgraded turbo (t3/t4) 3" Exhaust ( i have a'pexi n1 w/3" downpipe)555cc injectorsHKS cams (205 a piece...not bad)1.2 mm headgasket that should give u a very reasonable amount of hp...i don't know how much, but just trust me on that. as for the jwt ecu upgrade, i don't know in which way ur doing the swap, but i did mine wiht the jwt upgrade ( - direct fire ignition) i just send my ecu and get jim wolf to reprogram it for me. if you get all this ****, u defintely should need an ecu upgrade or ur car won't run right. this goes for any car (i.e. honda, nissan, etc.) the upgrade keeps up all the modifications done to ur car. good luck man.

For 250 you wouldnt need to upgrade the turbo or maybe just buy a T28 from the S15's and turn up the boost a little bit along with all the normal bolt ons (this includes the injectors going to 440 or 550 cc). Before going for an ecu upgrade you could try to use an Apexi S-AFC to manage fuel since and have it tuner at a dyno equipped facility.

I made 325 rhp with stock ecu/injectors/maf/cams with an adjustable FPR on 10psi with a t3/t04e.

miscelaneous problems always occur, so its wise to have extra money set aside for anything that might pop up.
