340 Dodge in an s-13?

Anyone done this swap or seen pictures of one that has been done? If an Ls! is possible..why not?? Practically bullet proof engines, lots of torque and easy to get parts for.

Aside from the fact that they certainly outweigh an LS1, would require custom fab the entire way, and not come anywhere close to LS1 performance

If you want v8 power, go LS1

If you got the cash go to the local dodge dealership buy yourself the hot little Mopar Performance catalog. Then purchase yourself the 426 street hemi- the crate engine with a 1000 whp and torque -- install that bizzle into your s13 and be prepared to launch yourself into orbit.....

I think I just miss my 65 Barracuda. I had swapped the 273 for a 340. i'm not seriously going to swap one in..probably just turbo the KA. i was justr curious as to whether it had been done. Miss the V8 sound...but not the mileage...

Hence the beauty of the LS1. You get the V8 sound, the v8 power, and quite possibly better gas mileage than an aggressively tuned KA-T.

Dodge V8's are nice, but they don't come near the quality of GM's LSx series.
