Tennessee man Desmond Hatchett is pleading with the state to help him with his child support payments. He’s fathered some 30 children with 11 different women - and he makes minimum wage.
“Hatchett … already has half of his pay taken by the state and divided among the mothers, with some receiving as little as $1.50 a month!”
And WREG in Memphis reports all 11 women want more money - and the state really can’t do that much.
“His oldest child is only 14, his youngest is a toddler. There is nothing the state can do to make him stop having more kids. He has not broken any laws.”

I'm not sure who is more ignorant. This guy or the women who are sleeping with him.

Both. But especially the women he impregnated more than once. You'd think after getting stiffed for child support on their first babies, they'd figure out he's a deadbeat and not repeat the same mistake.

If you shop at Aldi, $1.50 will sometimes buy two packs of bologna.

Give a kid a slice a day... BAM! Wholesome nutrition.

The health department keep bags of them under the welcome counters when you walk into the front office; all you have to say is "I need a brown bag" and the receptionist hangs you one, no questions asked, no charge. There are 10 in a bag. You can get a bag a day everyday that they are open. This f*** needs to be neutered. I know it infringes on his rights but the state of Tennessee is in bad enough shape as it is. All of those kids are (probably) gonna end up on food stamps, state sponsored health care, and Families First because he can't afford to pay what he owes. At which time he will go to jail and the citizens of TN will not only pay for his children's care with their hard earned tax dollars, but will also be paying for his room and board in prison. I HATE DEADBEAT DADS. Some b**** needs to go "Lorena Bobbitt" on this idiot. /rant

He's not being a full-time dad to these kids, some of them get less than $2 a month, he's begging the state for help, and yet... HE HASN'T GOTTEN SNIPPED YET. He's a deadbeat.

Lulz. Paying child support is not the only hurdle one must clear to get out of the classification of dead-beat. Plus, with as stretched thin as his money is, I probably pay more to my couch cushions every month than he pays to some of his kids (which makes the payment part really easy). He's a dead-beat. There is pretty much no debating it.

Maybe it's due to the immense amount of respect I have for my parents, but people like this make me want to strangle a kitten. My parents sacrificed a lot so that I could have a better life (certainly not as much as some have sacrificed, but it was clear that many times the put my sister and me ahead of their own wants/desires). I plan on doing the same thing for my kids someday. I know where this guy is coming from; laying pipe is pretty awesome. However, he is not taking any responsibility for his actions. The suffering that those kids will face makes the pleasure he gained not worth it. So much for survival of the fittest...

Wow.

There should be a time in ones thought process when you think about something and say hmm enough is enough.. "Do I really need more kids"?

 tax dollars being pissed away...

Someone needs to do a cost analysis for what is cheaper. Throwing him in jail for not paying child support, or paying his child support.

...and then assassinating him.
Hell, even the mothers that have had more than 1 kid with him need to get put on birth control at least until they can get their heads above water.

Because I lived in TN and when I was young and broke, this was how you prevented a houseful of kids. :chuckle:

The state hasn't paid anything due to his ridiculous amount of kids.

My coworker saw me looking at this and immediately said he should be chemically castrated. Of course you can't do that. But if I were Tennessee, I would make a deal with him: Stop having kids or or we'll try you for child neglect. If he can stop, then great. If he needs a snip snip to stop, then he can choose this option and all is well (except for the 30 freakin kids he already has). If he has another kid, arrest his arse and charge him with 31 counts of neglect. You can't keep having kids knowing you can't afford to take care of them.

PapaSmurf has the right idea. But figuring out the cheaper option is not easy. We know how much it would cost to lock him up, but how do you determine the cost of him having kids? Currently the state hasn't paid a dime. But what are the chances of these kids needing TANF or CHIP? What are the odds they wind up in jail themselves in the future? Impossible to know...

And why is he crying to the state? They had nothing to do with making these kids, and now he wants them to bail him out. F that, you dumb arse.
