I may have found a decent 280zx for pretty cheap...and already came up with some plans in my head. Is it feasable to put a 327 cid V-8 from a '63 corvette in a 280zx? I've seen other V-8's in them, but was wondering if anyone had tried it? Either way I think I'm gonna get the car and do the swap.

Pics will be up soon if possible & build thread will be started.

yeah it's been done, the 327 physically is the same as any other small block chevy, the 350 is far more popular and for those who want real power the 383 stroker is the choice, not sure why you'd want the 327? if I were to do a SBC and wanted smaller cubes I go for the T/A 302

Because I have one that someone will give to me free of charge straight out of a 63 corvette

free is my favorite price but it's still just a 327 sbc no matter what chassis it was found in, looks like those were 300 hp rated, the 350's are common and cheap, I do like the LS egines, they just cost entirely too much the the amount fo power they make, I'm just not a fan of domestic power in general

I'd take an L28ET over a SBC anyday
