theres a 91 325i 5spd for sale in my neighborhood with 69k and looks just gorgeous for 2800 cash( he said there was some suspension work and engine mods done but didnt specify). was wondering just how durable one would be if i were to get the back end out for fun every now and then, and on general issues in general. ive ridden in a relatively heavily modded automatic before and it sure did hug the pavement pretty well. plus if i were to sell my 260 along with the 3 grand i have saved up for it i would be on my way to getting a set of itbs from twm .sorry to betray the nissan family just thought it was a really good deal.

If you want to drift I wouldn't pick a bmw but if you like the luxery it offers over the 240 then go ahead. Its all personal prefrence but there is a reason all the pros drift the same 4-8 cars and thats because they are the best.

my freinds and I slid the crap out of a older 325is for fun. It had a locking rear end. We ended up messing up a rear cv halfshaft. That part was very expensive to replace and it took us 3 weeks to find the part and it took another 2 weeks to come it. Expect to pay alot on parts if you can find em. I like BMWs I just don't like paying alot for anything.

I have a BMW and and I like it alot but you are going to spend an a$$load of money to get little power on it.

Turbos and Blowers are REALLY expensive as well. We're talking $5k-$9k.

I plan on eventually drifting my 95 M3. Thats only after I muster up the money for the TwinScrew blower.
