Hi

Where can I purchase a 320 clutch release bearing, I have surfed the web without success, including this forum.
My release bearing has been worn out "of- center" and I would think that I need a new one?

Thank you
Atabale

A release bearing from a Sprite/Midget or MGA will work. I have one on my '65.

Part number from Victoria British - 4-322

Thank you.

I have been looking at the MGA spares, and notice that your advice is spot on!

Thanks, I'm heading by VB tomorrow with old bearing in hand to make sure it works for you. I need a drain plug and side access plate gasket for my column shift transmission so will check on the bearing and a clutch disc tomorrow as well as some other parts.

If you have a wish list let me know. I'm phoning in my order in the morning so you have about 15hrs if you would like me to check on any parts for you, no problem.

Its pretty simple they pull the part, I take a look, determine if it works, and either leave it or buy it. I kind of feel obligated to buy something and usually only have them pull 7-8 parts and no more.

So I need a drain plug and will have them pull 7-8 parts to verify. No biggie, no postage, no returns, and no re-stocking fee.

Hi
At this stage just a release bearing, I can pay via Paypal.

The South African 320 was fitted with round turn signals and brake lights at the back. It seem the same as the MGA lights. I am still struggling with uploading pic's but will try again when the sun is up.

I have extra front grill (*2) and bumpers, that is all I can offer for all your help.

No, no. No payment needed or necessary. Victoria British does ship international, but since we know a throw out bearing from a MGA or Sprite/Midget works you can try to order this locally or find the cheapest company for shipping. You do not have to order from VB here in Lenexa, KS. They are just 30 minutes from where I live, okay, 45 min. if I drive the speed limit in MNSTR 0, and as I say, I call in the order and drive on down the night I have class.

We can also look at your rear tail lights and match them up with something British. VB has catalogs for the Big AH, MGA, 2xCam,B,C,GT, Sprite/Midget/Bugeye, all Triumphs from 2-8 and the Spitefire, and the Sunbeam. I'm sure we can get close.

I will confirm they will ship to SA and see if I can get a quote for shipping for say 5lbs and 10lbs in case you want to get something else. You can also go to there web page and email them - www.victoriabritish.com

I noticed the MGA Twin cam has a six spring clutch disc so I'll be looking at the dimensions on this on for sure.

But yes, I would very much be interested in purchasing a grill from you, just need to figure out the pics piece, price and shipping.

Atabale,

Confirmed, The throw out / release bearing from the MGA/ 3xMain Bearing early Bs and Sprite/Midget will work.

Again the part number from VB is 4-322 for a 55-62 MGA @ $14.95 USD

Image

Would also recommend new clips, Part # 4-700 @ $1.95 each

If you need a clutch disc - Part # 4-225 (H3828) MGA 55-61 will work. Its a full 8 inches, but fit fine with no overlap on the flywheel face or pressure plate that I took along with me.

Also picked up a complete MGA transmission gasket set, Part # 1-444 @ $4.95 USD. Heck of a price for "ALL" gaskets. Will post a few pic is a separate thread
