hey guys, im wondering if i can put 31" on a stock suspension 02 pathfinder. i will eventually get a lift to ensure they fit but money does not grow on trees when you are a sixteen year old going to school, making car paments and gas payments. im thinking about going with some m1 mambas with bfg all terrain. any advice will be appreciated.

They'll fit, no problem. On stock wheels if you want.

Here ya go, 31x10.5 BFG MT's on stock rims with no lift (Christ how long ago was this? I had a completely stock front bumper, stock rear bumper, no damage, no bedliner, no lift, no steelies, no sliders, no tube rear bumper, holy hell!)

hey what if the tires were closer to 32? would i still be fine or would i have to worry about rubbing because they are wider by almost an inch. i currently have 255/65/16 and i want to upgrade to 265/70/17. will it still be OK without the lift or would i have to lift it at the same time?

the biggest i ever fit on stock susp R50 was 31.6, thats with a lot of cutting and it still rubbed....

also, i ran a 255/75/17 with 2" lift and those barely fit with even more cutting and a little bit of sledgehammering too

I just put new 265/65/17 BFG A/Ts on my 02 QX4, no lift, with factory wheels. Very slight rubbing on inner wheel well plastic cover at 1/2 turn. I fixed that by pulling the wheel well cover further away from the tire (toward front of car) and re-attaching the cover with a new screw hole. The 265/65/17 tire is approx. 30.7" diameter. Next size up is 265/70/17 which has nearly an inch larger diameter, so probably will not fit well. Your lower spring mount will be the major limiter, as currently I can barely fit a pinkie between that and the tire tread.
