Okay, okay, before anyone decides to ram my head in the ground, I just want to point out I've searched the threads :-)

Planned setup:Standard S13 4-lug spindles/SE rims (1991)Front Z32 TT (1990-92, 30mm) brakes/rotors

I know that [certain] 240SX/S13 SE rims will clear a 26mm Z32 brake caliper (at least barely..). However, will the same [certain :pface ] rims fit a 30mm setup with the use of a 3mm spacer? 5mm?

(30-3mm and 30-5mm = 27mm and 25mm respectively... or are there other factors involved?)

Uck, for clarity that should probablly read more like:(26mm-30mm+3mm) = -1mmetc...

We don't do any cross vehicle fits like this with wheels here so I can't give you a thumbs up or down. Anyone out there done this that can chime in here and help?

as far as I know, even using a small spacer will not allow it to clear....-chet

I never done any z32 brakes, but what you are talking about,I think, is that the 30mm brakes. I think that that measurement comes from like a radius, but subtract the amount from the wheel and you get 30, or like the length of the pad, but the spacers your talking about are going to change the offset, not how far off from the center they are.

Hope this made sense, and that it helps out a little.

You will need about a 5mm spacer to clear the 30mm calipers, I have the 30mm aluminum calipers with a small 5mm ish spacer.

Althoug you can use the stock hub bolts, I would recomend getting the longer nismo bolts.

The 30mm referance for the Z calipers is the width of the brake rotor.

It depends on which wheel. Since there were two kinds for the DOHC SE S13, but they look the same. One kind has some bracing behind the spokes which hit the caliper. The others do not. The ones that do not, will have a much easier time clearing it.

Nismojason: 26 and 30 mm refers to the rotor thickness, not the radius. The radius of the Z32 rotors are about 5.5 inches(139.7 mm).

Gotta be careful with spacers even the expensive hub centric ones as the disimilar metals [plus rust and corrosion] act as an insulator retarding the heat flow from the rotor hats to the wheels.

Q45tech, if heat transfer is the main concern, is there any good heat-transfer material/compound to use?
