And what can you do for $300 to the ignition system to add 30hp. This doesn't seem possible, is it? Please explain.

You CAN"T.. the post that you got that from was a sarcastic joke. IF you read further it goes on to explain how his MSD ignition system really did NOTHING except smooth out the idle. It was sort of a waste of $300. However.. if you are running turbo with higher boost... then an after market ignition would make some improvements... but not 30hp all by itself.....EVER! Hope that cleared up the confusion.

It's not possible..... I think they use the same dyno as the people who sell the 'Tornado'.

The most you'd see would be like 1 or 2hp on an NA car, turbo motors would gain more, but only if your blowing the spark out (i.e. stronger ignition lets you run more boost or a wider plug gap).

The ignition will help your car to feel quicker, it helps clean up the power band a little, and generally makes it feel stronger w/ better throttle response.

I'd just go for the cheepo Crane ignition system sold in Summit for like $135 (coil and spark box). It's for a Mustang but it's all generic parts and it will work on the 240 with no problems.

hope that helps,
