302 swap

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

Welcome to Hybrids and Nico Marc. If you're half decent at welding then this should be pretty straight fwd for you. As far as mounts go for the motor, the best method is to lower the motor in and either fab a adapter for the Ford mounts or fab an adapter plate for the S13 mounts. Same thing either way really. Some 1/4 plate steel will work fine for that and the tranny mount. Just make sure to soft mount the tranny or you'll have driveline issues. As far as the pan goes, there are a few options. Using the R33 Skyline crossmember free's up alot of room but still requires hacking the center section out. Or modding the stock CM by hacking the center piece out. If you look at the thread I made about the LS1 swap, you'll see I have several pics of modified crossmemembers. SO somthing similar to that will need to be done. A front sump oil pan is a must.

You'll have to look around for a kit to convert to a front sump. But here's a link to all the pics I collected awhile back.

With the intake off, there is enough room to jump in with the 302 and roll around...lol.

Not to many guys have the 302 swap. I'd love to do it, but the 302 blocks are not very strong and eventually I would want more power. Anything that crack right down the middle is a bad choice for me.
