302 into s14?

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

Hybrids is the best forum for your questions, so I'll move the thread for you. The 302 or SBC are both good choices as far as a swap goes. The key things are going to be custom mounts and clearance of the oil pan on the S13. A front sump pan is a must and often still requires some modification to the subframe.

But every project is different so one can't really say to any degree what the exact steps you should take will be.

Be sure to take lots of pictures and document the project, I'll make sure the thread turns into a great article and gets some publicity.

i think a s14 has more room for a v8 swap.. my s13 has a 302 into, and u need to do custom mounts for engine and only a good job with the oil pan to fit well... i still have a problem.. the movement of the stabilizer bar is small.. ... when i lift my car.. the stabilizer bar hits the big pulley(i dont know how to write that in english) and when the car are pushed to hard to the floor, it hits the oil pan... i haven wreck the oil pan and i drive to hard.... only im careful to not jump the s13 in the streets... the driveshaft ...u can still use the piece of the driveshaft that bolts into the diff... u can weld it with the driveshaft of the ford transmission!!! headers is a good way to fit very well the exhaust system.. and other things to... v8 ford vs v8 chevy.. i didnt go with chevy because the water pump is to large and it will hit my radiator. with the 302 , u can use the stock water pump.. or going with a custom water pump to fit a good electric fan between engine and radiator... i have mines in front of the radiator....-----> 2 FANS --> RADIATOR---> ENGINE and its ok.

maik21, if you can give me some more information on your swap, that'd be awesome. I was thinking about this at work the other day and it seems pretty interesting
