I apologize if posting your name as a subject is an issue I'm new and don't know to much about any unwritten rules.

The issue I'm having is, in all forward gears I can not pass 3k rpm, it's like I'm hitting a rev limiter, but in neutral if I barely ease on the throttle I can vet it up to around 4.5-6k but as soon as I press the throttle completely it boggs out and drops down and acts like it's hitting a rev limiter again. The idle is hunting but both my mafs are working, I know this because I pulled them off one at a time and tested the on my other Z with no issues.

Upgrades consist of, 850cc injectors, 300degree fuel rail, dual intake with 2 working mafs, selin* dual maf translator, z1 upgraded smic (not the B.As) an eprom chip from z1 tuned for all the above, also a ebc and after market boost gauge.

As I was searching on the forum I came across as post that you replied to saying you could not go past 3k in any forward gear and this was from a boost leak due to a hole in one of you intercooler endtanks, my question is does my description on my issue seem similar to the one you experienced?

Also i have not had time or access to the proper equipment to perform a boost leak test but will do so ASAP, just really looking to see if I have possibly found the issue or at least on the right track, oh and my boost gauge (after market) reads at around 0psi at 3k and even at the times I get to 4.5-6k in nuteral, I'm sure it needs to be under load to produce boost of some sort correct me if I'm wrong.

Any help would be much appreciated as I love both of my Zs and can't bare seeing it in such bad running condition.

this type of issue is usually related to the maf. generating boost in neutral indicated a timing retard or a cam out of time.

Thank you for the reply, so would I need to just fix the timing or replace the CAS?
