Hey guys, whats going on..I have a question and i was hoping one of u can help me out here. I cuurently have a 240sx with a turbo ka. I am running a jwt ecu and im in the process of sending it back to them for re-tune. This re-tune will require the use of a 300zx (z32) maf sensor. My question is, are ALL the 300zx MAF sensor's the same OR do i need a TURBO 300zx maf from a certain range of yrs...I cannot find anyone that can answer my question..

ThanksRobert

all the auto trans regardless of weather or not its turbo are the same. the manual trans units have a different part number for turbo and NA. I dont know if that will help you. but It might be usefull to ya. The differences may only be that they are made by different manufacturers but have the same specs.

All of the Z32 MAFS (or at least the ones sold in the US) are interchangeable.

When you look at the maf, make sure the part number on the side ends in N62, if it ends in N60 etc., you'll be very disappointed later (they max out around 300ish hp).

Well on the same vein, I have a 240SX with the SR20, and I have a Z32 MAF, and we've been trying to trouble shoot some problems with the car. Anyhow, does anyone know what stock the voltage range on the Z32 MAF should be? I mean what voltage should it read under no load, and what should it read under full load etc. We are trying to determine if the maf is bad or not. Thanks Chris

The problem is the stock flow at idle: 2liter/3liters=0.66 or a 1/3rd less flow at the same rpm. Same with using a Q45 MAF 2/4.5= 56% less flow.

Bosch type [Hitachi] MAF are not very accurate at low flows but have very good accuracy at high flows.

Stock MAF usually read 1.25 [+- 0.2]volts at idle 1.8 [+- 0.2]volts at cruise and 4-4.44 volts at WOT and redline rpm.

Really depends on altitude and injested air temp and humidity.
