I know I have seen at least one pic of a 510 with the 4 piston calipers from a 300zx, wanted to know if anyone has done it and what parts would I need? Can you put the rear discs on as well? I know it is fairly easy to do on s13 and s14s.

I have them on my car. I havent changed to the rear ones yet. Oh I forgot to mention I have 240sx front suspention so they were a direct bolt on. all I had to do is shave the bango bolt down so it would fit in the caliper. I have brembo rotors and it stops so good.

how involved is swaping front suspension over? Did you use the struts as well? Did you switch to rack and pinion?

Its involved if you don't know what your doing. I took the 240sx struts and made them into coilovers. then I took the datsun a-arm and the 240sx a-arm and cut them and joinded them together. I use same stearing. Its not that hard but if you don't know what your doing you might be all messed up. But from there you can upgrade to 300zx stuff by just bolting them on. You have to drill the 300zx rotors to a four bolt pattern thought.

Not sure what you mean about making the 240 strut into a coilover, wouldn't it be easier to get aftermarket a strut coilover setup. So basically you made one lower arm from both pieces(I'm guessing you welded the 240 arm near the ball joint to the exsisting 510 arm). Did you keep the 510 strut/radius rods. Which knuckle did you use, 240? Was this s13 or s14 stuff.

Its more expensive if you buy coilover setup. I made them by cutting the spring perch and putting a coilover adjuster over that and them made the top by cutting out the bearing and making a mount. that was the hard part. yes I cut and welded the a-arms together and then I put two hiems and a alluminum rod for the other part of the a-arm. I used the 240 ball joint because it needs to be at a certian angle for the spindle I first tried the stock datsun a-arm, but the ball joint was maxed out because its not at the right angle. give me your e-mail and I'll send you a pic.

[email protected] Thanks. I have seen people selling just 2 front coilovers for not very much, they get them off of silvia front cuts.

Colemans sells coilover collars for about $20 each. Cut off the spring perch, weld a ring around the strut for the collar to seat against add an Eibach ERS spring and you're in business.
