I have a 95 300zx with a jdm engine on it and it ran fine for two or three months until i decided to replace the oil pump and oil pan due to low oil pressure. Well i finished the job and turned it on, cranked right up with no lifter tick and good oil pressuer, but then i turned it off and it wont turn back on. That was yesterday, well today, i cranked and cranked and cranked until it turned on, finally, it did but after leaving it like 5 mins on idle, it shut off and then it wont start again. I even messed up the starter :/. any thoughts?

i'm not sure about electrical stuff, but grounds could cause that or something to not function properly. are you getting spark? i say this because my ignition control went out on me one time. and there were no signs or anything, just didn't start when i needed it to. so check spark and fuel. then go from there.

How is the timing? Are you able to pull codes?

1). Check for codes.
2). Check fuel pressure
3). Check compression
4). Check timing (valve and spark)
