i am sure that this has been brought up many of times but i am having a really hard time with my z. i have a 90 z32 and recently put jet sport 500 turbos with ashspec 2.5 inch pipes on the car and z1 poly motor mounts and the car continues to go into safety boost and i think i maxed around 9-12lb. i have many of other upgrades but i was told that the knock sensor may be the issue to my problem so i decided to ground out the sensor with out using any resistor. i have spoke to many people and they tell me that this will not cause the car not to run but once i did it i haven't been able to start car. i have check and replaced the cas and ptu. i have brand new 2nd generation injectors and have fuel and spark. now i am at a loss ever since i grounded the sensor it will not fire it sounds like it wants to then changes the timing on me. i have replaced timing belt and idler arm less than 5k

Check your timing with a timing light. Are you getting fuel and spark on all 6 injectors and spark plugs? Check the injectors and see if they are clicking. Simply put a screw driver on the injectors and put your ear on the plastic part of the screw driver. When you try to start the engine, you should be able to hear the injectors ticking. Check for spark on all 6 cylinders. It only takes 2 dead cylinders to make it hard for the engine to start. Pull the spark plugs out after you have tried to start it. Are they wet, what color are they? Dark black or crusty brown? And what do you mean that you grounded the sensor?
