My '93 TT was running perfect at 427RWHP, just had ome problems starting. Got a new starter, plugs...you name it but the problem didn't go away. Installed a new ignintion system from HKS, used schematic from back of manual, but car didn't start at all.

I removed everything and it still didn't start so I'm stuck...either I have to reset the ECU or my coils aren't working anymore, the ignition system did something...it cranks but it won't start up.

...urgent help needed...thanks

try starting it holding the pedal to the floor. if that dont work check your connectors on the from of the timing cover for corrosion, namely the big ones by the hoses. also take a look at your injector connectors for corrosion. just got one running today same problem. owner worked on his own car and it wouldnt start after word. found the injector connectors work heavily corroded. cleaned them a little and tightned the female pins in the connectors for better contact on the injector terminals. car fired up and run ok for the most part ,slight rough idle intermittenly. tomorrow gonna replace all the injector connectors and soldier some new ones on, then see if will pass a a smog test. He also wants me to add some brake coolers for his new cross drilled set up, not sure what they are havent looked at the parts yet.

thanks guys, I did a diagnostic on it, for some reason the ECU was giving me a code55 - no errors b.s but I disconnected the battery, ECU and put it back on then all of a sudden the code21 popped up.....followed it down the line and found out that my ignition module a.k.a. power transistor burned out. Getting new one tomorrow morning so I should be fine after that.

thanks for your help though

Relocate your PTU, the current place its at makes it prone to failure. Mine died as well, now its moved next to the intake.

all the way under the nose panel or just where the pipes come out by the side of the engine?

under the nose panel, its the heat from the engine that frys the PTU

Cables will reach, you just need to re-route it to under the nose panel.

maybe undo a few clips + zip ties etc

sounds good thanks for the tip, once I get the part tomorrow I'll do that by the way for everyone's information, SHUCK's or NAPA got the part for me for less then half of what a nissan repair shop wanted to charge me...and they asked me why I didn't bring the car in, ...duh...

Just make sure its an OEM part, you don't want to get anything other than Nissan.

They are about $180 @ CourtesyNissan
