So my mom has an 88 white over burgundy turbo 2+2 edition. The car has about 100000 miles on it. One owner and is it very, very good condition. Any rough thoughts on value?

Your sure it is a 2+2 Turbo? I have not ever seen one only non-turbos. Sadly the Z31 hasn't had a big uplift on collectability yet, but you never know. My 84' NA has 170k on it, it is in VERY good shape (I can point out everything that isn't) and I had someone offer me $7,500. You can probably get something like that if you find a motiviated buyer. 2+2 isn't as desirable but you can sure try to get 10k and go from there.

that car's been in the family since day one so I definitely know it's a two plus two Turbo. I know they are not as desirable as the two seater but whatever. It is what it is. I'm going to have to try and convince her not to sell the car. I wouldn't mind getting it eventually and do some upgrades like a manual transmission , engine swap and brake and whatever other changes there might be. the times I drove that car getting to the Limit made me uncomfortable. I'm more used to European style suspension with Progressive breaking

You should try to keep the car. It is easy to get this car much more interesting with a few mods to the suspension. first get some lowering springs, Eihbachs works fine. Next get some Bilstein or KYB struts/shocks. Now replace the rubber bushings which if they are original they are toast with some urathane bushings. Last get a Custco front strut bar...finally add some good sticky VR or better rated tires. This is what I did to my car and the handling from stock is like night and day

no such thing as a US model 2+2 turbo.

If you have any chrome colored trim on the outside of the car, around the windows especially, its definitely not a turbo. Trim should be black colored.

Values range widely based on location. I paid $2,000 for my cherry '86 2+2 5spd (NA cause 2+2 turbo doesn't exist for the US market). 2+2s fetch less. 2+0s fetch more. 5spd manuals are also more desirable than the automatic transmissions.

You will see folks buying and selling anywhere from $500 to $15,000. We would need to know your general location and pics of the car so we can tell what it actually is!

My first car when I turned 16 was a '97 altima. It had the KA24DE(or something very very very close) and it had a slight whistle when you floored it. I thought for the longest time I had a turbo.....man
