300ZX Turbo Swap to 280Z

I have a 280Z with a blown engine and can get a strong 84 300ZX turbo complete car (rust bucket) cheep. Has anyone out there made the swap. There is a car on ebay and another one on another sight that have done it but neither owner was responsible for the switch. How difficult is it. The 300 is an automatic but the 280 is a manuel. Any negative ramifications electronically with the computer moduel going from automatic to manuel. I may be really stupid but seems like in general it is a pretty straight forward bolt up opperation. A lot of work but possible.

hmmm...don't recall ever seeing one done...exactly how cheap can you get this motor?

also, I'm gonna move this to the Classic Z section where the S30 guys will mount this thread like a drunk prom queen.

it's been done but it's far fdoem bolt in, honestly if you have to ask, you probably shoulldn't do it, stick with the L6, they are readily available and sheap, and last forever, not sure how you managed to blow yours but they take a heck of a beating
