if you have a Z, it's fairly easy to know where the boost jets are...thats if you do have boost jets installed.

I think your TT should rape the Z33.

ok first of ran the 2009 G37S 6 speed that thing is slow as s***

did a 30 punch in 1st gear to about 80 or 100 and pulled on him about 4 car lenghts

Second the HR 350z 07+ stuck right with me didnt even pull on it a car lengh, i do have the heavy sportmax wheels and he does have the light wheels from the G35 rays edition

So all in all the g37s is slowand the 350z HR can run

if you do it from a 20 roll you'll take it 100%. the z is slow off the line vs the 350, esp. with low profile tires.

if you start them both from a dead stop, the 300 will pass the 350 around the middle of the quarter mile.

your compairing a stock luxury car with a sports car with about 30% more power than stock? keep in mind you only have about 50 hp advantage and the G probably weighs 300 lbs more than your car

my crappy "mostly stock" Z31 would completely whore my Z32 with sport 500's etc, and when I say whore I mean in a straight line, around turns, or on the way to grandmothers house

just depends on your definition of "mostly stock" sorry to burts your bubble but the Z32 isn't the best car ever made, it's not even the best Z ever made, it is however the most overengineered and heaviest, this is where the Z32 community suffers, their owners often have never owned any other Z or sports car and overstate all that the Z32 is

*yeilding the soapbox

Bad driver maybe? I was pulling 13.8's the first time at the track, 100% stock, and never got a good launch. With the 5AT I'm at least 2-3 1/10ths slower than the 6mt version which is actually slower than the '09 7AT from what I can tell.

Of course, doing a 20-roll helps you out as you don't have to worry about spooling. Take one off the line with an aggressive driver and see what happens or simply take it to the track where you should be racing.

I understand i had the advantage b/c i was spooling up but i started the race thinking the g37 would romp my a**

i also understand it has more weight to it, but it has the hp and tq to make up for it

Who knows, could have been the driver and gear he was in as well. The VQ37 sure feels stronger than the HR motor in our G35s but until I get it to the same track I won't really know for sure.

Evildky thats your grey 240z or 260z in your little pic? I want one but they are hard to find in good condition or actually running, for a decent price.. I would love to get one and just have it as a project car, it would just a be a car to have fun in. My friend has a 260z and its stripped out, and its doing about 360whp, he took me for a ride in that thing, HOLY s*** i almost crapped myself. It was like being in a rocket go-cart! One of the funnest times ive ever had in a sports car.

You will as soon as you find out that you are getting 12 mpg. First few tanks don't matter anyways..
