Ok guys i'm new to this forum, my situation is that I have an s13 shell and i was wondering how hard it would be to swap a 300zx tt engine and transmission into the 240. I love both cars and was hoping to get the best of both worlds, not to mention morebango for your buck on the HP side.

You know that z32 guys often RB swap the VG30DETT. Parts availability overall. Yes a few people have VG swapped 240's but its a PITA, and looks like a mess because it hardly fits. Its also requires a lot of fabrication.

RB25 it, or do what most do and get a cheap SR swap, rebuilt it and call it a day

If you want a V6, I suggest going with a VQ35. Much easier to work with, but the electronics are the biggest hurdle.

Agreed! Wiring is pita. I'd prefer the Str8 - 6, RB 25 or 26. Much easier towork with, when it comes down to swapping into an s13. My 2cents.

BTW, Welcome to Nico!

A VG doesn't even fit in a 300zx and you want to cram it into a 240???

Man you really want a project that involves BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS.

Build a KA, take your time, put some good money into it, and boost it

It'll be faster, parts are $5, they are plentiful, and you'll appreciate it a lot more cause its EASY AND FUN

A VG is just a PITA....

Yeah i was thinking of going KA24DE-T, since not as manny people have it. It's not over rated like the SR. I was reading a forum of a guy somewhere in india that fabricated swap kit for this and had the kit reproduced to sell. He wants 1,500.00 for the kit and u have to pay 185.00 in shiping.

Not many ppl have KA-T?!

After months and months of pining over VQ35 and VQ30DET swaps, I think I'm going back to my built KA-T plans for the overall ease and simplicity...
