How much will the bottom end take HP wise and how far and at what boost do the turbos give out. I have an 87 supra turbo and am thinking selling it for a 92 Z32 TT. But I don't know the power potential of the Z.

Thanks for the help.

well the stock turbo's seem to give up at around 400 whp and the stock block.... I've heard of some getting 650 whp range on stock blocks but as for a limit it might be a good bit higher, I know built blocks have crested 1000 whp, be carfull a Z is not a toy

Stock turbos are good for roughly 400-415whp and the stock bottom end can handle 600whp. The only somewhat weak point in the bottom end is the pistons, once they're upgraded you can throw just about anything at it.

I've heard the stock turbo's give out at 20 psi. True?

what will it take to reliably run 18psi, upgrade wise? Bigger injectors, piggy back fuel computer or is it as simple as cranking up the boost? And what kind of horsepower can you expect with that setup. I'm looking to build a car whether its my supra or the TT to beat a an 03 camaro SS. Its a rivalry I have with a friend of mine. thanks for the upcoming info.

18 psi does not equal 18 psi, it's a bit more complicated than taht but the stock turbo's I beleive can flow enough for 18 psi and the stock block should take it but you might have to upsize injectors and the intercoolers?

to do that you'll need to go with intercoolers, best ones or cheap are the HKS sidemounts, and for injectors go with Nismo 555's. Also a boost controller.

nsrZ32, I am going to have to keep in touch with you. I saw your cardomain page. Did you rebuild your motor yourself. I'm getting ready to pick up a TT and it needs the bottom end rebuilt. Has rod knock. He's going to sell it to me for about 1500 to 2000. Check you email's. I emailed you a few days a go.
