Hello all, First time poster here I recently had my 91 2+2 twin turbo swapped by a reputable z32 guy here and a close friend, when I got the car back it ran amazing, stock turbos on basically a stock motor with new injectors, he said the Boost is set pretty low right now until I get my new ecu (10 psi) here’s my question, when I got it back everything was fine turbos we’re hitting 10psi on the gauge with no problems car ran great. After about 3 weeks or so I felt like it didn’t have as much power and I had to mash on it a little harder to hit 10 psi, it was hitting around 8 On the gauge, took it over to him and leak tested it found a couple vacuum leaks but car still ran the same, he said he couldn’t tell any difference. Now about a week later I’ve noticed even more of a power loss and can only hit about 6 psi and that’s me really getting on it, can still here turbos spool and motor but the power is just not what it used to be. No codes on the ecu, almost feels like car is in safety boost mode.. wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

Boost leak test is where I'd start, though I imagine if you were losing that much air, there would be misfires and a noticeable change in exhaust note and smoothness.

I did a vacuum test on the car with the z1 tester, found two leaks one from the pcv and one from the iacv fixed both of those and car held 5psi on the vacuum tester but still no different, turbos were used but in good condition no shaft play ect so my z guy said he highly doubts its the turbos, car seems to run fine besides the fact that it’s not boosting at 10psi anymore, everything else seems normal

Are the wastegate actuator arms still attached? Are the wastegate actuator vac lines intact? Are the wastegates actually good?

Is there a way to check the wastegates without pulling to engine to get the turbos?

One side, DS IIRC you can see from the top, the other side you'd have to do by feel.

Yes, the wastegates are on the same side- so on DS they are on the outside of the turbo, PS on the inside.
