I bought a 300zx twin turbo about 8 months ago. Ive done the timing belt, spark plugs, ptu relocation into the airbox thats all hard soldered, down pipes and mid pipes, and port and polish the lower intake, i only port matched the plenum. Ive done all the checks i can think of and still it doesnt feel like i have the power i should. i have full boost on the stock gauge. ive checked timing, replaced the fuel filter, cleaned the air cleaner, ive even done the ecu diagnostics and it says everything is running properly. when i was playing with it when i first had it, it would push you into the seat abusively. and now it feels like a naturally aspirated motor. it has a little more pickup when the boost comes on but it doesnt even hop the tires in first when it hits boost. Please help if you have any infromation. Thanks

Sorry for the bad grammar in the last post. Yesterday i checked compression and it was 130 across the board. i re checked the timing belt and all the marks are exactly on. i also used a nissan timing belt. It runs rich. im planning on checking the o2 sensors with a scan tool. But i have no codes. Im also running almost 14 lbs of boost on a stock system, which i think is high? could the vacuum configuration make it run worse? I did check it when i had the manifold off and everything seemed kosher.

14PSI is fine as long as that's what you're actually getting. The stock gauge can't accurately measure that high. You should update your profile with your car info, but assuming you don't have a 96, you could be having problems with your VTCs. I thought I was missing some power, not a huge amount, and then discovered an oil leak with my intake VTC gear, and found that it wasn't working right at all.

Also, if you still have pre-cats or original cats, they could be clogged.
