Hey, i got a 1990 300zx TT and i get a slight white smoke out of the tailpipes and sometimes a loss of power, usually when i first start the car in cold weather (i got it a month ago, so havn't had a chance in warmer weather). Sometimes it'll run like a champ, but ocassionally it looses power and runs really rough. Im pretty sure it's the head gasket, but i dont have the funds to fix that right now. I was looking at this stuffhttp://www.crcindustries.com/a....aspxDoes anyone have any experience with this stuff? If not, whats the best stuff to use? Thanks in advance for any input

Dead link....

Usually the best bet is to spend the extra time/cash to do a job right the first time. Since the link don't work, it's hard to determine if you are looking at a stop-gap measure or not....

Doubtful. I've had a couple cars with blown HG's and those products NEVER worked. In both cases, it would have been eventually cheaper and easier to fix it before it got really bad and caused other damage to the engine. Most of these companies make money because they figure people will try anything to extend an expensive repair.

never ever......ever..... use anything like that. Any additive you put in the motor (ie. radiator stop leak or the head gasket stuff) not only builds up deposits where they are supposed too but also places where they should not (ie water jackets and coolant passages that are non-accessable. You can cause alot more problems trying to still drive it by using that stuff than just leaving it alone. You would not drive a car with a rod knocking by putting 80-90w in the crank case would you? hope that helps. Wait till the spring and tear her down and fix it right. Make sure to take the heads to the machine shop and check the deck for warpage and have them do a crack test. I always check my block decks too even with iron blocks. Good Luck!!!

Your only real option is to save up and fix the problem correctly.

amen, if you're verr seen the inside fo a motor where someone tried to fix a physical problem with one of those chemical's you'd see just how bad they muck everything up, fix it right or double the would be bill to pay to clean all the crap out and that stuff won't even help
