This is my first tt engine pull. I have a couple of questions. I appear to have everything loose. I cannot get the exhuast down tubes off the turbos D/S looks almost impossible. Will I have enough room to pull it out? Also do I have to pull the steering knuckle off the rack? Is there anything else I should know about? THANKS, JOE

if i were you..and i say these from experience..i would take out the steering knuckele and rack and pinion.....it just makes everything complicated and will take longer to do it..... careful with your oil pan, if you decide to leave on that is......

woa steering knuckle whaaat.. no non o... pull your plenum pull all the wiring harness off drop your a/c alternator and p/s pump drop exhaust driveshaft starter then transmission (top bolts youll need extensions and swivel to ease this process)
downpipes stay on the turbos un bolt cats. make sure radiator is out and 4 airway pipes off (2 to plenum 2 to turbos). Pull motor. Dont touch steering or rack. if you do then you might as well leave transmission attaached to motor and jack the car up over the motor instead of pulling the motor out. you will need an alignment after if you do it that way.
