Hi, I got a 1991 300zx Twin Turbo and I was thinking about taking out the balance tube so I can make more space to remove the oem piping from the intercooler because I recently bought a new intercooler for the car and the driver side has so many wires. So I was wondering would anything bad happen if I take off the balance tube? Any advice to remove the wires?

The balance tube is on the top of the intake plenum, not sure how that's supposed to help you with the intercoolers, are you sure you are referring to the right part?

It's just fine to remove the balance tube in order to perform repairs and such, but be sure to collect and inspect the little rubber o-rings when you do so as they usually are toast and cause a vacuum leak if so. Surely of course you aren't asking if you can run the car without the balance tube...or modify it to not have it. The turbos need it, trust me.
As mentioned though, the balance tube in no way interferes with the intercoolers or servicing that area of the car, do you perhaps mean the hardpipes the intercooler piping connects to?
If so everything is OK to carefully remove, taking care to remember or list the reassembly procedure. The online service manual in the "everything you need to know about the Z32" sticky will help out there a lot, and with a lot of other chores as well.
